Haoen Cui is an Associate Data Scientist on the Energy vertical team at Uptake, a Chicago-based startup focusing on AI/ML preventive maintenance solutions for the industrial IoT space. His responsibilities include data science, data engineering, DevOps support, application product building, etc.
Before joining Uptake, Haoen obtained several degrees from UIUC and worked temporarily as a Research Assistant at the Illinois Risk Lab after graduation. During his undergraduate years, he had multiple on-campus part-time jobs and interned at State Farm and Deloitte.
Outside of work, Haoen is actively broadening his knowledge span by pursuing professional certifications, taking online courses, and contributing to open-source projects. He is the current maintainer of the UpDoc package and serves as the President of the Uptake Math Club.
